If Trouba gets traded to either the Leafs or Wings, Kadri or Larkin better be the return!

What is Klefbom worth?

1st rounder (playoff protected) + bottom 6 F + bottom 3 D?

Or

Top 6 forward (1 for 1)?

One of Hall, Yakupov or Eberle.

I don't get why Vancouver wouldn't run with Markstrom and DiPietro? Give em both lots of ice time? Or is that rushing them?

I tend to think (sure I am a Sabres fan) that is way too much.

2017-2018 Edmonton Oilers NHL 66 5 16 21

2017-2018 Buffalo Sabres NHL 73 6 35 41

Similar style player. That would be a lateral move (not including the pick), so not sure it is worth it for either team. (besides just getting change)

Doesn't make sense for Edmonton to trade their best defensemen for a forward, I could see Edmonton doing Bogo and Reinhart for Klefbom.

Umm what? Toronto would kick Kadri out of a moving bus to make that trade.

So you would consider Kardi but not Nylander? Just interested in that thought.

Kardi has 4 more years at $4.5, Nylander will be a lot more, like $6+ this year.

Stats are very similar. Just curious.

I tend to think they need a reliable D man back in the package. I agree. Just trying to understand what people think his worth is.

Kadri has basically peaked. Nylander is young and no where near his potential with similar stats.

If Edmonton traded their best dman, they are doing it to upgrade something. They downgrade with Bogo, with the hope he plays a steady game and with Nurse development making up for the loss, while adding depth at forward with Reinhart.

Otherwise the most comparable, if it was Buffalo, would be Risto and nothing less.

Potential is not a given though. It is entirely possible Nylander peaked at a young age. Potential is basically just the chances of improving. When you are young the chances are high but as you age that window closes.

There are some cases where players dont peak until their 30s. Its rare but it happens. Yakapov peaked in juniors. He had great potential.

so last year it was our forwards were due for sophomore slumps. that didn't happen, so now they've already peaked.

i guess provorov may have peaked too or is he the one that's due for the dreaded guaranteed sophmore slump?

Provy could slump...and still be better than anything on Toronto's blueline, yes even the mighty Morgan.

I dont know if it's just me but I dont want to break up our forward core this year. Our 3 centers will be a dominating force and I'm not willing to trade willy. I think we should run with what we have. If theres a chance to upgrade, we can do so with a combination of picks, prospects and kap..

If not, try a vet on a 1 year deal

Just a thought
